Watched status and resume progress

Silo is in active development before 1.0. These guides are updated frequently.

Progress and watched status belong to your profile. Use the same profile on each device to pick up where you left off. Other profiles on the same account keep their own progress.

Continue or start over

Open an unfinished item from Continue Watching, or open its page and select Play or Resume. Next Up shows the next episode of a series you’re watching.

In the web app, selecting Play on a movie or episode you’ve started asks whether to Resume at your saved time or Play from Beginning. Play from Beginning is also in the title’s More menu (⋮). Replaying from the start moves your resume point back.

Change watched status

On a phone or tablet, open the title and select Watched.

In the web app, the button’s label shows what it will change, for example Mark Watched on a movie or episode, Mark Season Watched on a season, or Mark Series Watched on a series. The change applies as soon as you select it; select the button again to undo it. On a narrow screen, season and series pages shorten the label to Mark Watched.

Continue on another device

Pause on the first device so it can save your position to the server, then open the title with the same profile on the second device. If the position looks wrong, look at the profile and the version you’re playing before seeking. A device used offline sends its progress once it reconnects.

Playing the same title on two devices at once can make the position jump, because both send updates. If the wrong position keeps coming back, report the problem with the devices, title, profile, and approximate time.
