Browse and organize collections
Silo is in active development before 1.0. These guides are updated frequently.
A collection groups titles together. In the web, mobile, or TV app, open Collections, select a collection, then select a title to open it. The web app also lists shared Server collections.
A collection only shows the titles your profile can access. Sharing a collection with you doesn’t give you access to a restricted library.
Make a personal collection in the web app
Section titled “Make a personal collection in the web app”The web app has the full editor for titles, sharing, and smart filters.
- Open Collections > New Collection.
- Choose Manual to pick titles yourself, and enter a name. Leave Share with this account off if the collection is just for you.
- Select Save Collection.
- Reopen the collection’s editor. Under Items, search for titles and add the ones you want.
To take a title out, use its remove control in Items. The title stays in your library.

If someone else edited the collection while you had it open, reload the page before trying again.
Make a collection on iPhone or iPad
Section titled “Make a collection on iPhone or iPad”- Open Collections and select +.
- Enter a Collection name and select Create Collection.
This makes an empty manual collection. Add titles to it in the web app’s editor. To delete a collection, swipe left on it and select Delete.
The Android apps can open collections but can’t create them.
Shared and smart collections
Section titled “Shared and smart collections”You may be able to view a shared collection without being able to edit it. Make your own collection when you want different titles or a different order.
Choose Smart when creating a collection in the web app to fill it from filters instead of adding titles one by one. Review the matching titles before saving; a rule that matches nothing makes an empty collection.
For a simple reminder, Watchlist or Favorites is quicker than a collection.
